Dear Friends,
We wholeheartedly invite you to join us for a brand new Study Circle based on Beyond Religion: Ethics for a Whole World by the Dalai Lama (2011). We are now forming a local group in the San Francisco Bay Area (mid-peninsula region). We will meet approximately twice a month from September-December 2013 to share questions, insights, and practical applications of the teachings to daily life.

In Beyond Religion, His Holiness provides an inspiring, clear vision of how to lead happy lives based on personal values, a commitment to compassion beyond religious dogma, and a sense of universal responsibility for others. This is not a Buddhist study circle. In fact, we especially hope to engage people from all faiths, and participants with no particular religious or spiritual beliefs.
Part II of the book entitled “Educating the Heart through Training the Mind”, offers helpful practices to live from compassion for all of life. The group is also intended to support each other in applying helpful, simple practices to our busy lives. The circle is free of charge.
The new in-person group is part of an exciting new project to build on study circles for a previous book, Ethics for a New Millennium. You will be providing valuable feedback to the DLF design team and will join other circles being formed around the world to co-create a curriculum on cultivating peace through training the mind.
